How to play

Load the page on any laptop, tablet or phone. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
Go fullscreen
Press the fullscreen button so the browser bar and tabs disappear and there is nothing else to press.

Bears sleep all winter long and wake up hungry.

Questions parents ask
What age is this game for?
It works best from about 6 months to 4 years. Younger babies enjoy the colours, the sounds and the cause-and-effect of hitting a key. Toddlers around 2 start connecting the letter shape with the animal, and by 3 or 4 many will hunt for a specific letter on purpose.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no download, no in-app purchase and no advertising anywhere in the game. Open the page and it plays.
Can my child break something or leave the page?
The game ignores keyboard shortcuts that use Command, Control or Alt, so a stray combination will not trigger anything inside the page. Browser-level shortcuts are handled by the browser itself and cannot be blocked by any website, so the safest setup is fullscreen mode: press the fullscreen button, or use Guided Access on iPad and Screen Pinning on Android to lock the child into the page entirely.
Does it work on a tablet or phone without a keyboard?
Yes. Tapping anywhere makes the character bounce and sends a burst of animals across the screen, so the whole game works with touch alone. On a tablet with a keyboard attached, letters work exactly as they do on a laptop.
How do I turn the sound off?
The speaker button in the top left corner mutes and unmutes everything. Sound is off until the first tap or key press, because browsers only allow audio after someone interacts with the page.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the game runs entirely in your browser with no further network requests. Nothing is sent anywhere while your child plays.
Do you collect any data about my child?
No. There are no accounts, no cookies used for tracking, and nothing your child does is recorded or transmitted. Every key press is handled on your own device.
